Clare Cashman lives and works in North West Connemara, Co. Galway. Her concerns are with landscape, imagination and perception.

She studied Fine Art Painting at the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. Since graduating in 2002 she has been awarded the CAP Foundation Art Award, the Tony O’Malley Travel Award for Painters, an Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon bursary and a media residency from Visual Artists Ireland.

Cashman has participated in many group exhibitions, including 'Folkatronica' at the Sugar Club, Dublin, 'Thirty Two Thousand Years Later’ at Pallas Contemporary Projects, Dublin, ‘C2’ at the Crawford Municipal Art Gallery, Cork, ‘Travelogue’ at the Butler Gallery, Kilkenny, ‘Paintings’ at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin & 'H20' at the Model in Sligo.
